Mean Girls

There are tonnes of badass female movie characters to choose from, but we decided to take a poll in the UnPerfection office to see which ones were our personal favourites. This was the result:

Ellen Ripley from Alien

The character of Ripley was originally written to be played by a man, but Sigourney Weaver was more than suited to the role. She’s the perfect combination of courageous and compassionate as she faces the horrific chest-bursters. Also, Weaver looks pretty cute in a vest and pants!

Juno MacGuff from Juno

Hilarious, strong-willed and sassy; a description the UnPerfection team looks for in a female character! We all wish we had Juno as a friend as she handles the difficult themes in the movie with admirable level-headedness and strength.

Regina George from Mean Girls

There’s no two ways about it: Regina’s a bitch. But she’s funny and strangely intoxicating in a petrifying kind of way. She’s also hilarious and determined, traits that are actually put to good use by the end of the movie…

Lisbeth Salander from Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Lisbeth is incredibly fierce. She’s also smart and driven throughout the movie trilogy, something not often seen so strongly with female characters. UnPerfection also loves her no holds barred fashion, which certainly gives her that wow factor.

Amy Dunne

Amy Dunne from Gone Girl

She may have been a bit crazy…really crazy in fact…but Amy knows what she wants and is very clever about how she goes about getting it. Plus she’s played by the beautiful and equally badass Rosamund Pike!
