Michael’s wife, Gayle, was fighting a battle against breast cancer. Because Gayle was losing hair due to chemotherapy, Michael wanted to help her feel more beautiful in her courageous fight, which led him to formulate a product that would regrow and strengthen Gayle’s lashes.

Removing hair through laser is done by beaming highly concentrated light into hair follicles. The laser is attracted to the color in the hair, so the greater the contrast between your skin and hair color, the better. The follicles absorb the light, destroying the hair. A few sessions are needed to achieve permanent hair reduction.

“She taught me how important beautiful brows and lashes are to her…and the way you look and how you feel are so intimately connected,” says Dr. Birkenhoff in a video on the RevitaLash website.

“I’m very fortunate, in my own small way, to have been able to help Gayle through her recovery. Watching her be excited about her beautiful looking lashes has been a real joy,” Birkenhoff says.  

So, inspired by the love between Michael and Gayle, RevitaLash was born. Gayle was even the one who came up with the name, as the product’s goal was to revitalise the mind, body, and spirit.
