Still, getting cosmetic procedures done is not as scary as it looks

A porn star was rushed to a hospital after her lips ballooned four times their normal size as she was getting lip fillers at a clinic. She says that she “nearly died” because of the extreme allergic reaction she had to the hyaluronidase injection put on her.

Kirsty Collins, a 33-year old adult film star from Sheffield, has shared her daunting experience to her followers on social media.

“Within minutes of having the injection I didn’t feel right at all, I started to panic and my heart was beating right out of my chest. I knew from the get-go something wasn’t right, as, within seconds of the beautician injecting my upper lip, I felt this burning sensation begin to spread across my face. The next thing I knew, my upper lip was growing before my very eyes. I could see and feel it getting bigger and bigger… I was so frightened, I even feared I might die,” shares Collins.

Thankfully, her manager was there and so she was rushed to a hospital immediately. She was given two shots of adrenaline, a dose of antihistamine, and steroids to calm the swelling.

Collins, known to her fans at Bambi Black, admits her love for plastic surgery.

“The industry demands that stars have cosmetic surgery, there are no two ways about it. The porn look fans want can only be achieved one way – through plastic surgery. If you want to stay on top of the game, you’ve got to beat the competition, and the only way to do that is by getting bigger and better – quite literally.”

She is definitely no stranger to cosmetic procedures – having spent more than £30,000 on Botox, dermal fillers, boob jobs, and liposuction. Collins started as a glamour model until around seven years ago when she began making adult films in and around Sheffield. She has consistently been changing her appearance since, saying she “completely loves the fake porn look.”

Even after her botched lip filler job, Collins says she’s not by any means stopping on getting cosmetic procedures.

“I love plastic surgery and I always will, I’m scheduled in for my next round of lip filler next week. I’ve got a Brazilian butt-lift planned for later this year and I’m already looking at my third boob job. Knowing me, I’ll be on my death bed and asking for one last nip-tuck.”

However, Collins maintains that her experience should be a warning to others and that anyone who wants to go under the needle is putting their lives in the hands of someone else.

Still, getting cosmetic procedures done is not as scary as it looks. In fact, injections like Botox has been the most popular, with over 6 million treatments administered worldwide. But whether you’re getting lip fillers or any other sort of work done, remember to always consult with licensed specialists.
